PhilSTAR L!fe marks 4th anniversary celebrating the finer things

It’s been four years since PhilSTAR L!fe was launched, and it continues to give readers what they love, want, and need. Anchored on this mission, the digital lifestyle hub made a grand leap to mark its fourth anniversary.

“Life, but better,” this is what L!fe unlocked as it unveiled The 100 List at its fourth anniversary celebration at Southbank Cafe + Lounge on Nov. 14. Over 100 guests filled the award-winning bar: Staff members, contributing writers, brand representatives, marketing partners, and more delighted in the speakeasy’s signature drinks and grub and took part in the revelry.

“Last year, at our skating party, we celebrated living the sweet life by finding joy in the little things. This year, we’re taking it a step further. We want to help you discover what it means to live life, but better,” Head Editor Camille Santiago said in her speech.

“Our goal is to inspire and guide you, to help you make the most of your life. As we move forward, we’ll continue to deliver high-quality content that empowers, informs, and entertains,” she ended.

Brooke Villanueva, L!fe’s newly appointed Head Editor, shared that The 100 List will give unfiltered views on the curated offerings.

“Beyond it being a testament to hard work as it was a weeks-long research and discussion about our favorite brands with quality, inclusivity, reputation, timelessness, recognitions, and sustainability in mind, this selection is a full display of our ongoing love affair with providing you with everything you want, love, need, and more,” she said.

For L!fe’s publisher Sheila Paras, the guide will serve as inspiration for their readers to see what’s out there.

“Coming up with The 100 List is our way of celebrating the rich and diverse experiences that life has to offer. By curating this list, we’re hoping to inspire our community to explore, indulge, and engage with the things that make our everyday better,” she said.

“In this social media-driven world brimming with options, our list serves as a resource you can trust, especially if you are always looking for something new and exciting to discover.”

What’s next for L!fe?

PhilSTAR L!fe went live in October 2020 and continues to cover important events, tell unique stories from people of all walks of life. Paras said the platform will continue to be “in” on different conversations.

“The 100 List will be an annual list which we plan to expand next year. We also just recently launched Generations, our first regular column that explores issues and topics from the points of views of different age groups in the hopes of encouraging healthy but meaningful conversations,” she shared.

“Generations though, is more than just a column; it’s a whole campaign and we’re very excited for you to see, read, and experience it next year.”

Meanwhile, PhilSTAR Media Group Vice President for Sales and Marketing Jay Sarmiento said she’s excited for L!fe to continue doing what it’s already good at—telling authentic stories.

“Hopefully, L!fe will be able to foster a sense of community and engagement among its readers, creating a safe and engaging space for reflection and connection,” she remarked.

“I am impressed by PhilSTAR L!fe's consistent rise as the country's premier lifestyle hub since its inception four years ago,” said PhilSTAR Media Group’s Executive Vice President Lucien Dy Tioco.

“I look forward to more trailblazing initiatives from the team as it celebrates its five-year milestone next year.”

With exciting campaigns ahead for its readers, one thing’s for certain—L!fe is just beginning to scratch the surface.
