iPhone 16 series
It may not look like it, but the new iPhone 16 series takes a big leap from its predecessor. The new lineup is the first set of iPhones to be designed from the ground up for Apple Intelligence, Apple CEO Tim Cooke said repeatedly during its launch. Finally, the tech giant was able to catch up with its competitors in the realm of artificial intelligence.
The shiny new gadget from Apple comes in four models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which boast upgrades like better cameras, the Action Button, the Dynamic Island, USB-C charging, and—one of the biggest changes—the new Camera Control button for quick access to the Camera app. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus got a makeover with its new vertical camera setup, setting it apart from previous models which had diagonal lens layouts. Meanwhile, the Pro versions were beefed up with bigger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays. The new models come in several finishes: the standard devices are available in Black, White, Pink, Teal, and Ultramarine, while the Pro phones sport Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium colors. Apple Intelligence, though still in its early stages, has already shown promise. Since its release in late October, users have been able to erase distractions from photos, get summaries for articles, and transcribe audio from the Notes app. AI is inevitable in the tech world and more smartphone makers are building their phones around it. You can bet that the Apple Intelligence-ready iPhone 16 is ready for more AI features.
The iPhone 16 starts at P54,990 while the iPhone 16 Pro starts at P69,990. It is available in Power Mac Center, iStudio, and Beyond the Box stores nationwide.
