Alex Gonzaga is hopeful about being a mom soon as she shared that her body is now in good condition to conceive a child.

At a recently concluded press conference for a product endorsement, the actress and content creator shared some of the methods she has tried to have a baby with her husband Mikee Morada.

"I’ve tried IVF (in vitro fertilization). Before, I was doing LIT (Lymphocyte Immunization Therapy). Kung 'di niyo po alam, it's a blood transfusion kasi nga po nakita ang aking immune system, masyadong mataas," she explained.

"My body doesn’t recognize pregnancy, so that's the way it goes. Nung nagtra-try po kami, hindi umaangat masyado ‘yung blood levels ko," she added.

IVF is a medical procedure where an egg is fertilized by sperm in a test tube or elsewhere outside the body. LIT, meanwhile, is a treatment aimed at improving pregnancy outcomes in women who are suffering from unexplained recurrent miscarriages.

After her recent checkup, Alex proudly said that her body is now in good condition to bear a child.

"By God's grace, my last test is positive na po ‘yung katawan ko so anytime pwede na tayong mabuntis. Kasi tiningnan ‘yung blood ko, right now it’s positive, it’s 60% okay so any time na po," she said.

The actress has been open about suffering two miscarriages in the past: one in 2021 and the other in 2023. She got real about feeling like she "failed" as a wife at the time, but said she later realized none of it was her fault.

In an interview with her sister, host-actress Toni Gonzaga on Toni Talks, the content creator bared that her second attempt to have a baby with her husband was done through IVF. She was inspired by former US First Lady Michelle Obama, who decided to count on surrogacy for her two pregnancies after losing a baby via miscarriage.

During their talk, she opened up about feeling "pressured" by other people to have a baby, but a realization came one day when she felt like God wanted to send her a message about taking it easy and trusting in the timeline He has for her.

"Noong naliligo ako, parang bigla lang along kinausap ni Lord na parang 'Why are you in a rush to be pregnant?' Tapos naiyak ako," she recalled.

"Naisip ko, 'Oo nga 'no, ba't ba ako in a rush? Bakit hinihingi ko kay Lord, 'Lord, sana bukas is pregnant na ako. Sana talagang matuloy na itong pregnancy ko.' Why? Kasi napepressure ako sa tao," she mused.

Alex tied the knot with Mikee in November 2020.
