'Emily in Paris' renewed for Season 5
Hit drama-romance series Emily in Paris is set to return for another season!
Netflix shared a video announcement by Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) on Monday, Sept. 16.
“There’s no place like Rome,” she says, before taking a sip of coffee and showing the number five at the bottom of the cup.
The series recently released its fourth installment, which gave a look at Emily’s sparking romance with an Italian fashion scion.
The latest season explored the conflicting romantic life of Emily between Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). In the latter part of the show, Emily traveled to the city of Rome to spend time with a new love interest, Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini), a handsome Italian man she met over the Christmas holiday.
“Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance,” Collins said during her appearance in Good Morning America on Sept. 16. “We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”
The first part of Season 4 premiered on Aug. 15 with five episodes, while its second part premiered on Sept. 12.
The series is created by Darren Star. Other cast members include Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Camille Razat (Camille), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), and William Abadie (Antoine Lambert).
