LOOK: First-ever Disney Store in Southeast Asia opens in the Philippines
Disney has finally opened its first store in Southeast Asia—and it's right here in the Philippines!
Whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, there’s always a Disney character that can make you feel all giddy and excited. If you're looking to feed your nostalgia or get your hands on some Disney merch, you'd be happy to know that the much-awaited Disney Store has finally opened its doors to the public on Friday, Sept. 27 at the SM Mall of Asia.
As seen in photos shared by SM Mall of Asia, the store is filled with exclusive cutesy items—from must-have Mickey Mouse headbands when you visit Disneyland to lovely T-shirts, sweatshirts, and bomber jackets.
There are also onesies and princess dresses complete with a baton and a crown, so you don’t have to order online for your kids’ costumes for Halloween or the holidays.
If you like collecting toys, there are Funko pops, lego sets, and collectibles of your favorite Marvel, Pixar, or Star Wars characters.
The store is also full of plushies of Mickey Mouse’s squad, Pooh and his friends, and Disney Princesses that are just too cute to skip.
Apart from toys, there are functional items like tumblers with straws, mugs, and teacups inspired by Beauty and the Beast.
You can even enjoy having a look at life-size statues of famous Disney characters like Elsa from Frozen, Belle of Beauty and the Beast, Donald Duck of Mickey Mouse, Darth Vader from Star Wars, and the ever-playful Spiderman.
Disney opened its first store in Glendale, California in March 1987. It has since expanded to numerous regions and countries, such as London, New York City, and Canada, among others. Its first branch in the PH is located at Level 1, North Main Mall of SM Mall of Asia.
