Exciting smartphone launches keep coming as Xiaomi introduces the Xiaomi 14T line and its first foldable, the Xiaomi MIX Flip.

The Chinese tech company took the wraps off the new phones on Sept. 29 in Berlin, Germany.

Xiaomi 14T series

The biggest draws of the new Xiaomi 14T include its Leica-powered cameras improving night photography on the device and powerful AI features.

Both 14T phones come with a 6.67-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate. The vanilla version carries a MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra while the pro iteration gets a bump up with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip. Both phones also have the same battery capacity of 5,000mAh, but the pro version stands out with its 50W wireless charging and 120W HyperCharge support.

During the launch, Xiaomi boasted the new range's Leica Summilux lenses for better low-light photography. According to the tech company, the Leica camera features a large aperture for a clearer image, even in less-than-ideal lighting scenarios.

Like most new smartphones, the Xiaomi 14T range features some AI capabilities including Google's Circle to Search and Gemini, live translation, interpreting calls and meetings, AI Image Expansion, AI Eraser Pro, AI Portrait, AI film for creating short vlogs, generating summaries, and transcribing.

Xiaomi Mix Flip

Xiaomi is bringing its foldable flip phone to a global audience. Earlier launched in China in July, the MIX Flip is the company's first flip phone. It folds like a clamshell, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr.

On the back of the phone, there's an "All Around Liquid" cover display, which is a 4.01-inch screen covering the top half of the device. This display is interrupted only by the two cameras on the side. The cover screen greets its user with an app grid for shortcuts to their camera, recorder, phone, and others.

Like the Xiaomi 14T, this flip phone also features the Leica Summilux lens.

Open, the phone features a 6.86-inch display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The device also has a 4,780mAh battery capacity with 67W fast charging support.

The Xiaomi 14T starts at P25,999 for the 12GB+256GB version, while the 14T Pro starts at P37,999 for the 12GB+256GB version.

There's no news yet about whether the MIX Flip will be available in the Philippines.

In addition to the smartphones, Xiaomi also unveiled the Xiaomi Buds 5 (P4,199) and Xiaomi Smart Band 9 (P1,999), which are available in a sleek Titan Gray.
