Was US Vice President Kamala Harris wearing clip-on earphones or earrings?

This was the topic of discussion on social media as some users claimed that she wore clip-on audio earphones during the presidential debate on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Internet sleuths claimed Harris’s earrings were the pearl-embedded Nova H1 audio earphones. However, a blog named "What Kamala Wore" said this appeared to be a pair of Tiffany & Co’s South Sea Pearl Earrings from their HardWear collection, which the VP had in her jewelry collection for quite some time.

Other news outlets, like tech site The Verge, noted that Harris' earrings and the Nova H1 had clear differences, with the latter having a thicker loop while the Tiffany & Co.'s jewelry had two thin loops.

The $2,000 (P112,000)-worth South Sea pearl earrings set in 18K gold are no longer available online. However, we found another Tiffany pair that looks just the same—the Double Pearl Hinged Earrings in Sterling Silver

Made from fine silver and featuring 5 to 5.5 mm freshwater cultured pearls, these earrings offer a simple, refined look that can be worn on various occasions.

Its hinged design wraps around the ear for a bold style statement, while the polished silver setting complements the pearls’ natural luster.

The HardWear collection by Tiffany & Co. is inspired by the quintessential bracelet from 1962 found in their archives. The luxurious jewelry pieces embody enduring resilience and an uninhibited spirit.

The earrings retail for $800 or around P44,900.
