Ahtisa Manalo won the “First Station” of the People’s Choice Award at this year’s Miss Cosmo pageant.

The pageant organization announced the good news on its social media pages on Friday, Sept. 13.

“Philippines, rejoice! Your very own Miss Cosmo Philippines has emerged victorious in The First Station of the ‘Cosmo People's Choice' Award! She’s proven her beauty, grace, and intelligence, and her fans have shown her unwavering support,” it wrote in a post.

As the First Station winner, the Philippine bet will earn a special "Hope Star" boost (x2 voting points) in the Big Bang—the final stage of the voting. She is also entitled to a private photoshoot, a VIP party, 24-hour media team support, and a chance to take over Cosmo’s Instagram page for 24 hours.

“I am very happy that the Philippines won the first stage, it is really a humbling feeling knowing that a lot of Filipinos support me and made sure I’m number one in all the voting,” the beauty queen said in an interview.

She also asked for fans’ continued support in the two remaining stages: the National Costume and the Big Bang.

The candidate who will win the People’s Choice Award will have an automatic spot in the Top 10 finalists of the competition.

Manalo recently flew to Vietnam in preparation for the tilt, which will open on Sept. 15 for the sashing ceremony. The delegates are set to stay in Ninh Binh for a fashion show on Sept. 17 and the national costume competition on Sept. 19.

They will continue to undergo pre-pageant events until the coronation night on Oct. 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Manalo was chosen to represent the Philippines in the first-ever Miss Cosmo in May after finishing as the second runner-up in Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
