Nadine Lustre is about to breathe life into a new thriller role in Mikhail Red's Deleter.

In a never-before-seen still teased by the Dead Kids director, Nadine can be seen looking troubled as she carries a tote bag and wears earphones in the dark.

"Nadine Lustre as Lyra. DELETER coming soon," Red wrote.

Dubbed a "techno-horror" film Deleter follows the life of an online content moderator named Lyra (Lustre). Lyra stumbles upon a suicide video made by her co-worker, which she has to take down.

Already desensitized from her job taking down various disturbing content, Lyra is confronted with her troubled past and a mysterious vengeful presence that she cannot escape from.

Deleter will also star Louise Delos Reyes and McCoy de Leon and is presented by Viva Films. It is set to be Lustre's second thriller appearance since Yam Lanares' Greed.

In March of 2021, Lustre shared that she was raring for more diverse and darker roles.

"Lahat halos ng mga films ko before ay all romance, rom-coms, drama, so sobrang na-excite ako nong kinwento sa akin ni direk [Yam] 'yung storya," the artist said.

"Gusto ko kasi 'yung nacha-challenge ako. Ayoko ng parang madali lang. Kasi 'yung growth comes out when you’re challenged, growth comes out when you’re out of your comfort zone."
