Could there be a ‘High School Musical’ reunion soon?

In case you missed it: Zac Efron returned to the filming location of High School Musical—just a few weeks after Vanessa Hudgens. 

On Saturday, July 23 (Philippine time), the actor shared a snap of himself with the iconic East High in the background. “Don’t you… Forget about me,” he captioned his Instagram post. 

In the comment thread, netizens were quick to mention that his real-life ex and onscreen partner was just at the same venue less than a month ago. 

Vanessa shared a video of herself dancing in front of the campus on social media on June 27. “Do you remember in kindergarten how you’d meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you’re playing like you’re best friends because you didn’t have to be anything but yourself?” she wrote in the caption. 

Their separate posts sparked speculations that an HSM reunion could be in the works for the first time in 14 years. 

“Vanessa posted a similar one a few weeks ago. What does this mean?” someone commented in Zac’s post. 

“Wait what? Couple weeks before, Vanessa was here and now, you? What does this mean?” another one wrote. 

“Reunion? HSM4??? What does this mean?!!!” said an IG user. 

Zac and Vanessa became famous for their stint on High School Musical, which first aired in 2006. It was followed by two more installments—High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which were released in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
