Miss Universe owner Anne Jakrajutatip to visit Manila soon

Anne Jakrajutatip is coming to the Philippines.

The Thai businesswoman and owner of the Miss Universe Organization announced on social media that she will be visiting the country soon.

"The next Universe destination is 'Helloooo Manila!' #Philippines," she said. "Love you and see you soon!"

Her Pinoy fans, meanwhile, are excited about the news, saying she is welcome to the country.

"Yes ms anne you are so welcome here in the Philippines," wrote one user.

"OMG I can't wait to see you Miss khun anne," another one wrote.

While Anne did not give any details about her visit, it is safe to assume that she will be attending the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 coronation night happening on May 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The event will be attended by Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel and Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi. American Idol alumna Jessica Sanchez and South Korean idol Nam Woo-Hyun are also set to perform that night.

Anne is the first woman to ever own the Miss Universe Organization. Her media and content company, JKN Global Group, acquired it from IMG last October 2022.

Under her management, the organization has introduced a new business model that required pageant owners to bid for the franchise to host pageants in their countries, leaving some to suspend their ties with the global pageant.

Anne cleared the news saying that "something got lost in translation and information."

"The request of submission was meant to give voice and agency to the current directors. A way that they can speak truth to what they believe their business is worth," she wrote.
