Kris Bernal reflects on final stretch of pregnancy: 'The days are getting longer and harder'
Kris Bernal is getting closer and closer to welcoming her bundle of joy!
Reflecting on her final stage of pregnancy in a lengthy Instagram post, Bernal shared that the "days are getting longer and harder" as her baby girl is getting bigger inside her womb. Nevertheless, she couldn't be happier that her first child with husband Perry Choi is growing healthy.
"I am so excited to meet you, baby girl! I can't believe I'm already into the final stretch of pregnancy! Every day was like a survival mode!" Bernal wrote.
"Through it all I kept going—I found the strength to push through—I took what was given and fought hard as hell! And, I thank God for allowing me to experience this!" she added.
In a previous Instagram post, Bernal detailed some of the fears and uneasiness plaguing her now that she is about to take on the role of being a mother.
"Simultaneously excited and terrified as all I hear is how much worse it’s going to be once baby arrives!" she wrote. "Am I ready? I feel like I haven’t mentally prepared my brain for birth and motherhood! I have just so many 'unknowns.' Women are not born knowing all of these."
However, it seems that she has overcome these uncertainties as she has now shared an inspiring message to fellow mothers who are also anticipating the birth of their own bundle of joy.
"Our whole world is about to change—in many ways, it already has. We all feel unsure about what's to come—but we've got this, we were made for this, we are stronger than we know.
"Keep in mind that the reward is a lifetime of happiness! It's no easy feat, but we're doing it with flying colors! I see you, I feel you, you're not alone! I have my highs and lows too just like you! And, hats off to you for being a true wonder woman!" she continued.
Highlighting how "pregnancy is truly a miracle," Bernal ended her post by underscoring that "motherhood is a gift she will never take for granted."
To prepare for the big responsibility, the 34-year-old actress has been looking into classes for birthing, newborn care, and breastfeeding workshops.
She first announced that she is expecting her first child in early March, wherein she and her husband did a unique and hilarious movie-themed maternity photoshoot. The couple got engaged in February 2020 before finally taking their relationship to the altar in September 2021.
