Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano get married anew in a church ceremony in Palawan: report
Celebrity couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano had a church wedding in Palawan three years after their civil wedding.
According to entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, the ceremony was held in Coron and was officiated by Father Tito Caluag.
ABS-CBN News reported that the attendees were Manzano’s parents Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos, and his stepfather Ralph Recto. Mendiola’s family was also finally able to attend the big day. (Her mother held a video call during their civil wedding in 2021.)
Principal sponsors included ABS-CBN bosses Carlo Katigbak and Cory Vidanes, Manzano’s manager June Rufino, Virgie Ramos of Swatch, and Alan Real of Star Magic, based on the invitation that the media outlet shared.
Manzano’s stepbrother Ryan Recto was among the best men, while Mendiola’s sister Megan Tawile was one of the matrons of honor.
Alex Gonzaga and her husband Mikee Morada served as candle bearers.
Celebrity stylist Patty Yap on Instagram shared a clip showing Mendiola’s dress for her pre-wedding dinner.
The couple have yet to share photos of their big day on social media.
Earlier this month, Mendiola confirmed to Felipe that their church wedding was finally happening.
“Finally, matutuloy na rin 'yung church wedding namin," she said. “Dream wedding namin, Finally, makakauwi na rin 'yung family ko."
On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, Mendiola shared her sweet moments with Manzano and their kid in Palawan.
Mendiola first tied the knot with Manzano at The Farm in San Benito in Batangas in February 2021 after five years of dating.
They welcomed their first child Isabella Rose, whom they fondly call "Peanut," in January 2023.
