Hugh Jackman is getting them gains!
The 55-year-old actor showed a glimpse of how he's staying in shape to reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3.
"No days off—except for tomorrow. #becomingwolverineagain," Hugh captioned on Instagram.
Hugh's video captured him lifting weights and doing curls in the gym to the tune of Rock and Roll by The Glitter Band.
In September 2022, Hugh Jackman was confirmed to return as the X-Men character in the upcoming Deadpool sequel. A first look of him and star Ryan Reynolds on the set of the film surfaced in July 2023, with the Australian actor donning Wolverine's comic book yellow suit.
To prepare for the role, the Greatest Showman star has also been consuming 8,000 calories to bulk up.
Jackman last played Wolverine in the 2017 film Logan and when he takes up the claws again, this will mean he's played the character for 24 years.
Deadpool 3 is set to be released in July 2024 after facing delays due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Directed by Shawn Levy (The Adam Project), the film also stars Morena Baccarin and Brianna Hildebrand with Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra Natchios from the Daredevil and Elektra films.
The upcoming Marvel film will also be part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with films Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, and Captain America: Brave New World.
