Gerald Anderson on getting married: 'Malapit-lapit na'

Is Gerald Anderson ready for marriage?

In a guesting on Karen Davila's YouTube vlog on June 6, the actor was asked about the possibility of him getting hitched anytime soon.

"Actually, malapit na," he told the broadcast journalist as he gave her a high five.

Davila then said, "Malapit na?" and Anderson replied, "Malapit-lapit na. Siyempre, 35 na po ako."

"We'll see, we'll see... I'm closer to that," he said. "Kasi kung five, three years ago tanungin niyo sa akin 'yan, 'Hindi, hindi.'"

"That's why I'm doing all of this kasi gusto kong maalagaan ang mga anak ko na wala silang iisipin," he said of his businesses and showbiz work. He, however, noted that he doesn't intend to spoil his future kids.

"Everything I do in life is leading up to, you know, sa aspeto na 'yan," Gerald said of a married life.

In 2021, Anderson said he wanted to settle down and start a family in the near future, but shared he was not yet ready at that time as he still had a lot to learn.

Anderson is currently in a relationship with actress Julia Barretto.

Anderson and Barretto sparked dating rumors in 2019 a few months after the release of their movie Between Maybes. They confirmed their romance in 2021.
