Park Hyung-sik shares what he looks forward to in visiting PH ahead of Feb. 2024 fan meet

Park Hyung-Sik is returning to the Philippines for a fan meet, and he is excited to make the most out of his visit to the country, just as much as his fans are eager to see him up close.

Hyung Sik, who celebrated his 32nd birthday on Nov. 16, shared what he loves about the Philippines ahead of his 2024 Asia Tour fan meeting SIKcret Time at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 17, 2024.

"When I first visited the Philippines, I remember the nice weather and the natural beauty of the country," the actor-idol said in an interview shared with PhilSTAR L!fe.

"The people were warm and friendly. The food was delicious. I love the sea. I remember there was so much to do in the country. It was both a healing and relaxing time for me."

The 32-year-old Korean superstar last went to the Philippines in 2019 for his fan meeting for Bench at the Mall of Asia Arena. During his stay, he visited Cebu City for three days to go diving and open ocean swimming.

Asked, what the other places in the country he would like to visit, he said, "Palawan and Boracay are two of the places I would really like to visit. I have not been able to do it, but I wish I could go."

Korean actors who influenced him

Having starred in many films and dramas including Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Happiness, the seasoned actor said that learning never stops no matter how far one has gone. He said that "there is something to learn from all actors too."

Throughout his career, Hyung-Sik revealed that there were three South Korean actors who directly inspired him.

"I would say Park Seo-Joon, Choi Woo-sik, and Im Si-wan. Because they are very close to me, we can talk more deeply about acting. They influence me the most," he said.

In 2022, he appeared in the HYBE reality show In The Soop: Friendcation which also featured Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, Peakboy, and V of BTS, as the fivesome embarks on a four-day vacation trip together.

Meanwhile, he joined Si-wan in the South Korean boy band ZE:A where he debuted in 2010.

Message for his Pinoy fans

Hyung-Sik's fan conference, SIKcret Time, is organized in the Philippines by MQLive in partnership with TONZ Entertainment.

Ahead of the Feb. 17 event, the South Korean actor said his birthday wish is to be with his Filo fans. Now, his wish is about to be fulfilled through his upcoming fan meet.

"I know my Filipino fans have been waiting for such a long time. Please wait for me. My wish is to be with all of you. I will be there in the Philippines soon. I know very well that all of you continue to support me even from afar. Thank you so much and I love you all."
