Celeste Cortesi responds to a hate comment about her 'ugly' tattoo: ‘Kindness goes a long way’
Celeste Cortesi clapped back at a follower who bashed her for having "ugly tattoos."
The beauty queen-turned-GMA artist posted several pictures and videos of her look during the GMA Gala on Instagram, including a series of portrait shots where she was wearing jewelry from Miladay Jewels.
The photos also clearly showed her tattoo of a feather just below her left collarbone. According to her, it symbolizes her guardian angel, her late father.
A user left a comment on this post saying “Just sad how she doesn't see her beauty. Those ugly tattoos on her skin, maybe one reason di siya nakapasok sa to[p] 50 man lang.”
“Indeed, it’s her life but since she is posting her photos in public, she is giving us the right to comment,” they added.
Celeste took a screenshot of this comment and responded in her Instagram story, saying that as a public figure, she is not giving people the right to be mean and judge what they do not know.
“Because I post my photos in public I am giving you the right to comment? Maybe I am giving you the right of having an opinion. I may not be liked by everyone and that’s totally okay,” she wrote.
“What I have been standing for during Miss Universe continues even after my reign and I will never get tired of telling you people to be more kind!!” Celeste added.
She reminded people to be kind not only to her but to everyone. “Maybe if we all learn to be sensitive and kind, we can all be HAPPIER,” she said.
Before responding to the comment, she also reposted a picture of her pouting her lips with the caption: “My reaction to my bashers #unbothered till the end.”
The Fil-Italian beauty queen then reposted a story by a fan account with her picture writing: “Haters don’t really hate you. They hate themselves because you’re a reflection of what they wish to be.”
Celeste represented the Philippines in Miss Universe 2022 but finished unplaced.
