Sharon Cuneta gets turned away at fashion house Hermès in South Korea
Remember that scene from Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts' character was turned away by the saleswoman of a store in Beverly Hills' shopping district?
Sharon Cuneta had a similar experience when she was blocked by a staff of French luxury design house Hermès from entering their store at a mall in South Korea.
The Megastar revealed this in her YouTube vlog posted on Sept. 30, where she detailed her "Seoul-searching" adventures during her recent Korea trip together with her family.
During the trip, the singer wanted to buy a new belt and decided to purchase one from Hermès, but as she put it, she got "turned away" from the prestigious boutique.
"Pumunta ako dito para lang bumili ng sinturon sa Hermès, ayaw akong papasukin," said Sharon, who didn't seem offended by the action and simply laughed it off.
The reason for her being barred is because Hermès branches require its customers to make an appointment with them first before they are accommodated.
Instead of looking for a belt in another store, Sharon exited the mall with a bunch of luxury items she bought from Louis Vuitton. During her visit, she had some light moments with the staff as she shared with them that she's a singer and an actress in the Philippines.
She also received flowers and a bottle of champagne from the staff of Louis Vuitton as gifts. "I got champagne and flowers. Thank you, Louis Vuitton. Thank you."
Sharon later returned to the Hermès store and showed the staff at the entrance everything she bought, seemingly paying homage to Pretty Woman. In her YouTube video, she even included a funny clip from the film where Julia Roberts showed the saleswoman who turned her away with bags of luxury items that she bought.
