TRENDING: Claudine Barretto in hot water for 'multitasker' job posting

Published Nov 22, 2024 12:25 pm

Claudine Barretto drew flak on social media for her "multitasker" job posting, where she said she's looking for a personal assistant with experience in accounting.

In an Instagram post on Nov. 19, Barretto first asked her followers to help her find a stay-in secretary.

"Personal assistant na sana sanay sa puyatan at very masipag, marespeto," she said. "Better if 'yung personal assistant may experience din sa accounting."

Barretto said the applicant will report to her every Friday, detailing how much she'd earn and spend, and where her money was used.

Moreover, the applicant will take care of Barretto's schedule and her children, handle operations in the household, and must be used to sleeping late.

"[K]asi ganun po talaga sa shootings/tapings," she said. "Yung masipag, alerto, multitasker gaya ko po, at important, very neat and organized."

The local star asked applicants to send their biodata/resume and National Bureau of Investigation clearance. She also asked her followers to pray for her to find the "perfect personal assistant/accountant."

Her post received criticism for requiring several things from an individual despite the capability to hire more people, which prompted Barretto to hide the comments on her post.

Multiple local outlets, including entertainment portal PEP.ph, were able to spot some of the comments before they were hidden.

"I suggest po idol that you hire [two] people for this job. Yung [nagsisimula pa lang] sa work, struggle na 'yan, until [you're] used to it. Matinding patience po kailangan," a social media user commented.

"Ang personal assistant at [accountant], isang tao na! [Managing] your house to be clean and tidy at mga bata is a serious job. If isang tao lang to, 'di po 'yan tatagal. Need po ng rest ng tao. Pwede mo din sila [palitan] para [balanced]. Patas din [sila] sa salary offer. [God bless] po idol," a user added.

As seen in screenshots of the comments, Barretto replied to the user, explaining that she's looking for a personal assistant with experience in accounting, not an accountant per se since she already has one.

"'Yung weekly expenses lang [ang] irereport. My kids all go to school, I wake up afternoon na. Ayusin lang schedule namin dahil may personal assistant na ako, so I'm getting another PA [because] magsastart na work," Barretto wrote.

"So anong mahirap sa work na rinerequire ko if 6 a.m. alis ng kids at mga 4 to 5 p.m. balik?" she asked. "Sana bago magcomplain, mag-isip muna kaya tayo?"

She also said she has her own CPA (certified public accountant) for her BIR requirements. "Important lang inirereport magkano nagastos sa buong week," she added.

"Ibibigay ng kids lahat ng resibo ng gastos nila, ibibigay ng cook gastos ng groceries, ganun lang. Minsan sasama sa shooting, more of making calls for me. Night person po ako kaya sana sanay sa puyatan [because] if I'm shooting, baka doon abutan ng ano ipagagawa ko po," she continued.

In another comment, Barretto said she already has a yaya, cook, and an all-around helper.

"Schedule po ng paglinis ng pool, siya tatawag," she said of the yaya. "'Pag may important events sa school, ilalagay sa calendar, etc. At may PA po ako, may CPA rin daily, and weekly expenses lang irereport."
