Here's how you can help Nicole Borromeo secure a spot in Miss International 2023
Hello, Pinoy pageant fans! Nicole Borromeo, the country's Miss International 2023 bet, needs our help in securing a spot in the Top 15.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Oct. 1, Bb. Pilipinas encouraged kababayans to show their support for the beauty queen by voting for her as their favorite delegate on the Miss International app.
As stated on the social media platform, the three delegates with the highest number of votes from Asia and Oceania, Europe and Africa, and the Americas will automatically be part of the Top 15 of the tilt.
To help Borromeo advance to the semi-final round of the competition, just download the app on the Apple Store or Google Play, click the “vote” tab, and choose “Philippines.”
The voting prices range from P64 (one vote) up to P6,300 (250 votes).
Just recently, the Miss International organizers released a video of each candidate showcasing their advocacies based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), "an urgent call for action by all countries—developed and developing—in a global partnership," according to the United Nations.
Borromeo, for her part, put the focus on poverty as she highlighted the importance of having a safe and decent place to call home for all.
"As an interior design student and advocate for well-being, we delve into the heart of the design that nurtures the soul," the Cebuana beauty said in the video.
"Every home tells a story and every design choice impacts people's well-being and freedom of expression. Together, we can transform houses into homes creating safe spaces that foster growth, healing, and happiness," she added.
"Because with you, we can build a world where everyone has a place to call home," she continued.
The Miss International 2023 pageant will be held on Oct. 26 at Yoyogi Gymnasium No. 2 in Tokyo, Japan.
Borromeo will aim for the Philippines' seventh Miss International crown at the upcoming pageant. Her predecessor, Hannah Arnold, finished in the Top 15 last year.
During her send-off event last week, Nicole rated herself an 8 out of 10 when it comes to being ready to compete on the international stage.
"I do like to think that I have improved since last year," the 22-year-old model revealed during the event.
"[It will] remain by 8 because at the end of the day, you were better [than] you were yesterday, you'll never be as perfect as a 10, as a 9, but you are on the right track and I'm in the right direction that I could ever wish for," she added.
When asked whether she's prepared to win the highly coveted Miss International crown this year, Nicole humbly acknowledged that one can "never be fully ready for anything" but noted she's "welcoming it with open arms."
"I wanna say yes. I'm human. I don't think I'll ever be fully ready for anything that you want in life. You'll never be fully ready for it, but I am welcoming it with open arms," she said.
