EXO's Sehun and his agency denounce claims he has a pregnant girlfriend

The agency of K-pop act EXO's Sehun denounced claims that he has a girlfriend, who's also rumored to be pregnant.

Korean entertainment news website Soompi reported on March 28 that an anonymous user made the claims in a now-deleted post in an online community. The user also shared supposed photos of an idol group member accompanying someone at the OB-GYN (obstetrician-gynecologist) clinic.

SM Entertainment said that the management "strongly denies" the claims.

“The recent rumors involving Sehun circulating online are false and completely groundless, This is a definite criminal act of distributing malicious false information," the statement read.

The agency said it's "continuously monitoring" the situation and will be taking "strong legal action" against those who are behind the posts.

Sehun, on his Instagram page, also wrote a separate statement originally written in Korean denouncing the claims.

Here's the English translation of his statement, as provided by Soompi:

"Nonsense posts have been circulating online the past few days, and I felt that I should take legal action to end this right away."

"My fans are also aware of this, but there is a woman who has been going around pretending to be my girlfriend for the past few years. She uploads posts and writes on social media like we are in a relationship, and I knew about this because I heard about her. I do not know her at all, but just letting it all go as an insignificant matter has caused this situation to blow up to this point."

"I am clearly stating that all the photos and posts circulating on the internet are not me."

EXO debuted in 2012 as a 12-member group that has two six-member subunits: Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun (as Exo-K); Xiumin, Lay, Chen, Kris, Luhan, and Tao (as Exo-M).

Kris and Luhan left the group in 2014, followed by Tao in 2015, amid legal battles with SM Entertainment.

They're known for songs like Call Me Baby, Ko Ko Bop, Growl, Monster, and Love Shot.
