Liza Soberano addresses Enrique Gil breakup rumors: 'I was hoping someone will ask me about that'
Amid the growing separation rumors between local celebrity couples, Liza Soberano said she and longtime boyfriend Enrique Gil are "totally fine."
During an interview with TV Patrol on June 21, the 24-year-old actress said that she was expecting people to ask about their status to assure fans.
“Quen is fine. I was hoping someone will ask me about that," she said. "There are rumors about we are parting, but we’re fine, we’re totally fine."
The rumors were fueled after Soberano started spending time in the United States to jumpstart her Hollywood career. She also recently signed onto Careless Music, the talent management helmed by fellow celebrity, James Reid.
Soberano had also been spotted spending time with fellow US-based Filipino personalities such as Bretman Rock and Bella Poarch.
The actress shared that her boyfriend was "very supportive" of her recent endeavors.
“He knew all about my US trip and I had talked to him, ‘You know these are really big opportunities that I don’t want to miss upon, I hope you understand',” Liza said.
Meanwhile, Enrique has been focusing on his business ventures such as their joint business, HKT Essentials, and other real estate endeavors.
Liza and Enrique met in 2014 on the set of the hit series Forevermore and started dating shortly after. Known as "Lizquen", the pair are now in their seventh year as a couple.
