Maine Mendoza, Arjo Atayde tie the knot in Baguio City
Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde are officially husband and wife!
According to a report by ABS-CBN, the celebrity lovebirds exchanged "I dos" at the Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges Chapel in Baguio City on July 28.
Some of the couple's principal sponsors were ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak and Dreamscape Entertainment boss Deo Endrinal. Maine's E.A.T. co-workers Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon were also present as their wedding godfathers.
Along with this, Maine and Arjo have also delighted their fans with more pre-nup photos on their wedding day.
On their Instagram account, the happy couple shared some new photos showing the two of them spending a romantic moment with each other in Las Vegas. Maine could also be seen wearing her wedding veil and holding a small bouquet of flowers as they drove happily in a car.
Previously, Maine and Arjo shared pren-up photos that showed the couple playing games and strolling through the streets of Los Angeles, California. Another post showed Maine and Arjo gearing up for an indoor skydiving experience.
Fans of the couple are well aware that the photos are a stark representation of Maine and Arjo's fun and magical love story.
The two first met on July 28, 2018, during the story conference for the comedy film Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles where Maine portrayed the role of a police officer while Arjo played the leader of a drug syndicate. It was an event written in the stars, with the actress tweeting the phrase "Arjo cutie" on July 28 five years prior to their meet-up.
It was in October 2018 that the lovebirds began sparking dating rumors until they finally confirmed their relationship in March 2019. At that time, Maine proved that Arjo is more than just a "cutie" as, she said, "he always goes out of his way to make me extra happy and actually puts in effort in everything he does."
"I appreciate everything he does for me and I am happy that I get to experience such wonderful things," she added in her Instagram post.
Maine got engaged to Arjo in July 2022 after being together for more than three years.
