Kathryn Bernardo addresses unsolicited viral vaping video: 'It won't make me less of a person'
Actress Kathryn Bernardo addressed the circulating unsolicited viral video of her in which she's supposedly using vape.
In the video circulating on TikTok, which was seemingly taken from inside a building, Kathryn is sitting outdoors as she's seen holding a small item. She then puts it in her mouth for a second before putting it down.
"Well, una sad ako na may video about it kasi parang inano 'yung privacy ko," Kathryn told the media during the sidelines of the A Very Good Girl press conference on Aug. 23. "But then, it happens, so ok lang kung nangyari."
"Kung ginagawa ko ba 'yun o di ko ginagawa 'yun, kung ginagawa ko lang ba 'yun sa movie," she added, without explicitly mentioning vaping.
The 27-year-old noted that the supposed act won't define her and make her less of a person.
"Depende na lang 'yun sa mga tao," she said.
She asked the public to refrain from taking videos of artists like her without their consent.
"Sana it won't happen again," Bernardo said, "kasi kailangan din namin sometimes 'yung privacy at personal space namin."
A Very Good Girl, Bernardo's upcoming movie alongside Dolly De Leon, will hit cinemas in September.
It's been described as a dark comedy with "plenty of sass and class."
