TRENDING: Lorin Bektas dubs Annabelle Rama's viral remark vs. Ruffa Gutierrez regarding men

Published Jan 05, 2024 5:06 pm Updated Jan 06, 2024 5:15 pm

Lorin Bektas just pulled off a “dog show” toward her mother, Ruffa Gutierrez, by dubbing her grandmother Annabelle Rama’s (in)famous remark about the latter being smart but "dumb" when it comes to men.

In a TikTok post on Jan. 4, Lorin can be seen driving in her car as a “describe yourself” text can be seen in the video.

She can then be heard with the unmistakable soundbite, “Matalino naman siya, maganda, hindi naman siya bobo, 'di ba? Ang ayaw ko lang, pagdating sa lalaki, bobo talaga siya.” Lorin then smiles as the video ends.

“My lola becoming viral tiktok sounds is too funny,” Lorin wrote in the caption.

The remark came from Annabelle’s guesting over Vice Ganda’s talk show Gandang Gabi Vice in February 2020, where Rama was asked about Ruffa’s worst wrongdoing against her.

TikTok users went gaga over Lorin’s video, which has garnered over 58,500 likes, 500 comments, 2,400 bookmarks, and 350 shares as of writing.

“OMG, Lorin. I can’t wait for Ms. Ruffa to see this HAHAHAHAHAHAHA” one user said.

“LAGOT KA SA MAMA MO HAHAHAHA,” said another.

“Please show us your mom reaction while you do this trend LOL,” a social media user added.

Ruffa caught wind of Lorin’s viral entry and commented, “Is this about meeeee????” with a flushed face and a thinking face emoji.

One user, meanwhile, had a challenge for Lorin: “Next naman 'yung '‘Yung isa nagtatrabaho, 'yung isa nagwawaldas.’” Annabelle made the headlines with the statement amid her son Richard Gutierrez and his wife Sarah Lahbati’s months-long rumored split.

Lorin is Ruffa’s daughter with ex-husband, Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas. She has a younger sister named Venice.

Ruffa and Yilmaz got married in 2003 and parted ways in 2007, with her citing "cultural differences" at the time.

Later on, she revealed she had endured physical and emotional abuse during the marriage. It was annulled in 2012.

Last June 2022, Lorin and Venice reunited with their dad after 15 years of not seeing each other.
