LOOK: Kapamilya stars shine at the GMA Gala 2023
What a sight to behold!
For the first time ever, ABS-CBN stars joined a sea of Kapuso celebrities at the GMA Gala on Saturday, July 22.
Following some historic partnerships between the two networks like It's Showtime and Unbreak My Heart, the Kapamilya talents—as well as ABS-CBN executives Carlo Katigbak and Cory Vidanes—arrived at the Marriot Hotel Grand Ballroom in their dazzling outfits in neutral colors.
From Vice Ganda to Anne Curtis, here are the ABS-CBN stars who added glitter to this year’s GMA Gala—a night filled with “glitz, glamour, and goodwill.”
Joshua Garcia
Kapamilya heartthrob Joshua Garcia looked dapper in a black and white outfit for his first GMA Gala. In his interview on the red carpet, he thanked everyone who has expressed their support for his teleserye, GMA and ABS-CBN's collaboration Unbreak My Heart, which also stars Gabbi Garcia, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Richard Yap. "Maraming salamat po sa pagsuporta sa Unbreak My Heart at sana ay patuloy kayong sumuporta," he told the livestream viewers.
Vice Ganda
Vice Ganda stole the spotlight with her striking Neric Beltran number. The TV personality arrived on the red carpet with her fellow hosts on It's Showtime, which has officially found a new home in GMA Network's GTV. “We are very happy that we have a new home, GTV, and the GMA family has been very supportive and we are very grateful for the support that they have been giving our Showtime family and the madlang people,” she said in her red carpet interview.
Anne Curtis
Looking classy as ever, Anne Curtis showed up in a Saint Laurent dress that she matched with Tiffany & Co. jewelry and an Audrey Hepburn-inspired hairstyle. “Hello, madlang Kapuso!” the It's Showtime host said as she greeted the livestream viewers, expressing her excitement to meet Kapuso stars and reunite with her longtime friends in the entertainment industry.
Vhong Navarro
Wearing a white suit with some hints of black and gold to match the gala's theme, Vhong Navarro echoed his It's Showtime co-hosts' excitement about their first GMA gala. “Ang sarap ng pagtanggap ng Kapuso, para kaming Kapamilya nila,” he said.
Jhong Hilario
Jhong Hilario opted for a blue outfit by Jaggy Clarino, which he finished off with blue sunnies. The "sample king" also thanked his GMA-7 family for welcoming them to the network. “Masaya kami na nandito kami ngayon. Thank you, thank you. Always watch Showtime sa GTV,” he said.
