Adam Levine denies affair with IG model, but says he 'crossed the line'
Adam Levine has broken his silence regarding his alleged affair with an influencer and model that made rounds online, denying that he did not two-time his wife and Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo.
The issue first surfaced when Instagram model Sumner Stroh took to TikTok to reveal that she "was having an affair with a man who’s married to a Victoria’s Secret model" for about a year. She then ceased their communication for a few months before Adam went and sent her another message asking if he could name his third child after her.
Stroh's post has received 1.4 million likes as of writing and Levine has since received massive flak on social media because of it.
The Maroon 5 singer took to his Instagram story to address the issue, writing that while he did not commit an affair against his wife who he married in 2014 and has two children with, he admitted that he "crossed the line" with her.
"A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in any kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life," Levine wrote.
The singer went on to say that he has taken "proactive steps" to remedy the issue with his family.
"My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make," Levine wrote.
"I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together," he ended.
After Levine denied claims of cheating, Stroh also took to her Instagram story to post a cryptic message that seems take a jab at the singer's apology.
"Someone get this man a dictionary," the 23-year-old model simply wrote.
Meanwhile, Levine's fellow celebrities also took to social media to weigh in on the issue.
Selling Sunset actress Chrishell Stause did not appreciate Levine's public apology and wrote on Twitter, "When apologizing for cheating publicly I hate the 'we will get through it together part' from a man. Don’t speak for her. You’ve done enough."

Don’t speak for her. You’ve done enough
Former fashion model and actress Sara Foster on TikTok criticized both Levine and Stroh saying, "Cheating is so gross. He's obviously like a total pig and gross. But this woman who chose to make a viral TikTok video—by the way, not even apologizing—but putting it out there for the world to see, for a pregnant woman to see when she could've just messaged her privately, claiming that it's not her fault, it's like we don't feel sorry for you."
She emphasized, "You knew this man was married and you participated. You could've easily ignored the messages."

Model Emily Ratajkowkski, who had starred in Maroon 5's music video for their song Love Somebody, disagreed with Foster's take and said that Stroh is also a victim in the situation.
"I don't understand why we continue to blame women for men's mistakes, especially when you're talking about 20-something-year-old women dealing with men in positions of power who are twice their age," Ratajkowkski said.
She continued, "Also, if you're the one in a relationship, you're the one obligated to be loyal so the whole other woman to blame, that's bad and it's literally designed to keep women apart."

In another TikTok video, Stroh adressed the criticism she received for entertaining the married Levine. Apologizing to Prinsloo, she said that she was "under the impression that their marriage was over".
"I believed that they were keeping it quiet to avoid the negative press because as I had said, I was new to Los Angeles so I just assumed that with celebrities of that calibre that that was just how it was. And that's why I feel exploited because he knew I believed everything that he said because of my vulnerable position of being new to LA," Stroh explained.
"Being naive is not an excuse for what I did and the role I played in this. Again, in no way was I trying to gain sympathy and I fully realize I'm not the victim in this. I'm not the one who's really getting hurt here, it's Behati and her children, and for that, I'm so, so sorry," she ended.
