Bea Alonzo will 'definitely' have her wedding with fiancé Dominic Roque next year
Bea Alonzo has revealed that she is "definitely" having her wedding with fiance Dominic Roque next year.
In an interview with entertainment reporter Nelson Canlas on 24 Oras, Bea took the time to recall how she felt when Dominic finally asked her to be his wife.
The actress, who burst into tears during the proposal, revealed that she already had an inkling that Dominic was going to pop the question soon.
Bea shared the news of her engagement on her Instagram account, where she posted a series of pictures of herself overcome with emotion after Dominic got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
"To be honest, medyo ineexpect ko na siya because for months now, iba iba 'yung information [na natatanggap ko]. 'Yung friends niya sinasabi na malapit na. Baka November, eh we're going to Japan this November. Sobrang significant ng Japan sa'min because that's where we fell in love. So akala ko doon," Bea said.
"Actually, after ng GMA Gala, talagang pupunta kami ng Singapore, so parang may feeling ako na doon siya magpopropose. 'Yun 'yung pinaghahandaan ko na 'Ano kaya 'yung gagawin niya?'" she added.
Dominic gave her a classic round diamond engagement ring, which the actress regards as "perfect" because of its simple design.
The question on everyone's mind now is when exactly will the wedding happen.
"Definitely next year," Bea simply answered, sharing that they are still unsure about the specific date and other details of their special day.
Dominic posted a heartfelt video of how he proposed to the love of his life, accompanied by a montage of their sweet moments together as well as an affectionate message about why he fell in love with her.
"Sino bang mag-aakala na 'yung crush ko lang noon na gustong-gusto kong tinititigan dahil sa sobrang ganda, hindi ko pa nga alam kung paano ako magpapakilala. Eh ngayon, parte na ng araw-araw ko," Dominic wrote in the caption.
Bea first sparked dating rumors with Dominic in 2020. After months of being spotted together in similar locations, the star confirmed their romance in August 2021, saying it "just came out naturally."
"It’s not like I was trying to hide it. I think I was just trying to be careful given my past experience. Syempre gusto kong masiguro muna kung saan siya pupunta bago siya gawing official," she said in the 24 Oras interview.
