The journey is unlike anything else, but it's one that's worth every second—and celebrities who entered motherhood this year have said the same.
Here are some famous faces whose 2023 was made extra special as they took on the most important role of their lives yet with their little bundle of joy by their side.
Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton welcomed her first son Phoenix in January and then her first daughter London in November via surrogate. She shares these children with the love of her life, businessman Carter Reum, whom she wed in 2021 after two years of being together. "My life just feels so complete, having my little baby boy and now my little girl," the socialite said in a previous interview with PEOPLE Magazine.
Iza Calzado
Iza Calzado gave birth to her first child at 40 in late January, but only announced it two months later. "You may not have been in my immediate plans but I instinctively knew that this was THE plan. To know that life is growing inside me is a great miracle. You are my miracle. You are my guiding light," she previously penned a letter to Deia Amihan, whom she shares with her husband, businessman Ben Wintle. "Napakasarap pala nito," she wrote in another post, referring to being a mom.
Sophia Grace
Sophia Grace, who became famous for singing Super Bass and fangirling over Nicki Minaj on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, gave birth to her first baby on Feb. 26. She announced it on Instagram on March 5, five months after sharing she was pregnant with her longtime boyfriend, whose identity is yet to be disclosed to this day.
Bianca King
In March, Bianca King introduced her first baby with her husband, businessman Ralph Wintle with a compilation of clips of her baby bump and a glimpse of her little one at the end. During her pregnancy announcement in August 2022, she said she and Wintle were "ready as ever" when it was time for them to try for a baby. "It was a long journey to get here. It was not easy—being in our mid-late 30s. I mentally gave up and was about to do IVF (in vitro fertilization). But surprise! A natural miracle happened,” she shared.
Jessie J
Jessie J's first child arrived in May, almost two years after she suffered a miscarriage. In an Instagram story in June, she wrote an appreciation post for her boyfriend, professional basketball player Chanan Safir Colman with whom she shares the little one. "Like a beam of light, he lit up my dark days. It was a whirlwind love and a miracle that we fell pregnant naturally with not one issue during. Grateful doesn't cut it," she said, recalling how she found strength in him after her miscarriage. "He has given me many of the best gifts of my life. He didn't let go of my hand [during the birth of our son] and I wouldn't have been able to go through it without him."
Lindsay Lohan
The Mean Girls star welcomed her little ray of sunshine with her husband, financier Bader Shammas in July—four months after announcing her pregnancy by showing a baby suit with the words "coming soon" in March. In an Instagram post a month later, she described motherhood as "the greatest joy in the world." She tied the knot with Shammas in July 2022.
Aeriel Garcia
Content creator Aeriel Garcia announced the arrival of her baby daughter with Pinoy Big Brother alum Patrick Sugui in July via an Instagram video with an emoji of a family of three in the caption. The couple got married in April last year, two years after their engagement.
Kris Bernal
Starstruck alum Kris Bernal welcomed Hailee Lucca on Aug. 15. While she had the "longest pregnancy and hardest labor," she said she "would do it over so many times" to meet her "little sunshine." She described the mother-daughter bond as "one of the strongest in existence," adding that "it's a kind of love that is never understood until it happens to you." She shares her baby girl with her businessman Perry Choi—her husband since September 2021.
Vickie Rushton
Beauty queen Vickie Rushton announced the birth of her first child Knoa with longtime boyfriend, actor Jason Abalos on Sept. 1, their first wedding anniversary. She also called Knoa their "greatest blessing" in a post showing their child's hand wrapped around her finger. The new parents got married in September 2022 after being together for over a decade and announced their pregnancy in May this year.
Jess Wilson
"It girl" and entrepreneur Jess Wilson introduced her baby girl named Philippa Aurora to the world in October. She started a family with her husband Moritz Gastl, with whom she tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony in Coron, Palawan in June 2021 and then a church ceremony in Austria in May 2022.
