Kathy Griffin files for divorce from longtime partner ahead of fourth wedding anniversary
Comedian Kathy Griffin has called it quits with her husband tour manager Randy Bick ahead of their fourth wedding anniversary.
Court documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Dec. 29 revealed that the two separated over "irreconcilable differences" on Dec. 22. A "premarital agreement" will dictate how their assets will be divided.
As news of the divorce broke, Griffin made posts on social media which said, "Well... sh*t. This sucks."
The pair dated for 11 years and married on January 1, 2020 in what the comedian called a "surprise" wedding officiated by Lily Tomlin.
"The entire ceremony was just under 14 minutes," Griffin wrote at the time on X (formerly Twitter). "We promised you atypical. We are in love and we cannot stop laughing.”
The entire ceremony was just under 14 minutes but I have to give you guys the uncut first 75 seconds. LOVE IT! We promised you atypical. We are in love and we cannot stop laughing. Thank you @LilyTomlin and Jane Wagner!#HappyNewYear pic.twitter.com/O5vOss3TCD

During the ceremony, the actress wore a wedding dress that was a callback to her first date with Bick in 2011. The marketing executive had chosen that dress for her.
"I asked Randy to pick out whichever one of my long dresses was his favorite for any reason. He picked out this dress and showed me this photo [of the first date]. Romance is hotttt again," she wrote on X in 2020.
Before Bick, Griffin was married to Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006.
