Justin Bieber postpones remaining dates of his world tour, including Manila leg

It looks like Filo Beliebers would have to wait a little longer to meet Justin Beiber in the flesh.

On Friday, Oct. 7, Ovation Productions announced on social media that the remaining dates of Bieber's Justice world tour up until March 25, 2023, are postponed to latter dates next year.

"The tour, originally slated to begin in 2020 before being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, kicked off in February this year in San Diego, CA and made stops in ten countries across three continents," Ovation Productions, the official local organizer of Beiber's concert, said in the statement.

"On Sept. 6, Justin first announced he was taking a break from touring to make his health a priority. That news was followed on Sept. 16 by his cancelation of twelve dates running through Oct. 18."

"With today's announcement, these remaining dates are officially postponed. The potential new dates will be subject to venue and date availability," the statement read.

Prior to the announcement, Bieber is set to perform in around 70 locations, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Oct. 22; Manila on Oct. 29; Tokyo, Japan on Nov. 16;  to France, Denmark, and Poland in March next year.

The recent postponement comes three months after the global music icon announced via Instagram that he is taking a pause from his world tour, as he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome that paralyzed half of his face. A month later, on July 20, Bieber announced that he is resuming his world tour.

With the latest suspension of his tour, Ovation Productions said that customers who previously purchased tickets for the Manila leg can either "carry forward" with their existing tickets or request a refund.

The event organizer assures attendees who prefer to keep their tickets that they will still be honored during the rescheduled event. "The seat plan stays the same, your ticket will still [be] in the same location inside the performance area," the statement read.

On the other hand, customers can also opt to request a full refund, which can take 30-60 days to be processed, depending on their payment method. For more information, Ovation Productions advises customers to visit the following websites: ovation.ph, ovationtickets.com, or smtickets.com.
