Who is Alexa Miro, Sandro Marcos’ rumored girlfriend?
Alexa Miro has been the talk of the town following hints that she’s the girlfriend of Sandro Marcos—the eldest son of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Rumors about the two first sparked in June this year, when a Facebook Live of Vice President Sara Duterte’s inauguration captured a quick chat between Sandro and Bacoor Representative Lani Mercado. She told him: “Hello, Sandro. Ang girlfriend mo pala is taga-Bacoor. Nakuwento ni Bryan (Revilla) sa akin.” To which he replied: “Yes, but atin-atin lang ‘yan, ha.”
Just recently, Sandro and Alexa were spotted at the VIP area of Marina Bay Street Circuit in a photo posted by F1 Singapore Grand Prix. They were seen enjoying some drinks, fueling more speculations that they are in a romantic relationship.
Now that she’s been generating a lot of buzz, you’re probably wondering: Who is Alexa Miro?
Born in Bacoor, Cavite, Alexa Miro knew she wanted to step into the limelight at an early age. “I think I’ve known since I was five that I wanted to become a great and successful performer when I grew up. I also wholeheartedly believe that being an actress is noble and fulfilling. Not only do you get to showcase your God-given abilities, you also get to touch lives with every meaningful performance,” she said in an interview with The Philippine STAR.
Her interest in the entertainment scene might have been sparked by her mother, who was also in the same field somehow as a singer. “I was raised by my mom, moving from one place to another, here and abroad. She was a professional singer, and singing was her bread and butter.”
Alexa pursued a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts at De La Salle University and has continued to carve her own path in the ‘biz since. Her claim to fame was a TV commercial for fast food chain Jollibee in 2018, which was followed by her stint in ABS-CBN drama series Araw-Gabi as part of the supporting cast along with content creator Ivana Alawi.
She’s also part of sexy film A Girl + A Guy, which revolves around young adults trying to figure out romance and relationships, including intimacy. It’s now streaming on Netflix.
From Mondays to Saturdays, she showcases her comedic side as a co-host of noontime show Tropang LOL on TV 5.
When she’s not in front of the camera, Alexa taps on her “daredevil and thrill-seeker” side. She loves going on adventures not only outdoors but also underwater as a scuba driver, with hopes of being a master diver someday. “I dream of diving with great white sharks, exploring sunken ships, helping clean our reefs, and taking part on conserving ocean life,” she said.
How is she doing in the love department, and does it really involve Sandro at the moment? In the same 2022 chat with The Philippine STAR, she stressed she is not in a relationship with someone. “Of course, there’s dating every now and then when you meet people who are interesting and fun to be with, people who introduce you to new things,” she shared.
When asked about Sandro by entertainment site PEP, Alexa echoed the same things about her love life and noted they are just friends. “Ganun pa rin naman, super, super close kami. Nagkakapalagayan ng loob, may tiwala sa isa’t isa. The same lang sa halos lahat ng magkakaibigan, halos parang girl best friend na niya ako.”
The actress, however, noted she’s not closing her doors to the possibility of being with him. “Hindi ko masasabi kasi hindi ko naman pinipigilan ang sarili ko kung kanino ako mai-in love. I don’t dictate who should I love, who should I give chance to. But right now, wala pa naman.”
