Bea Alonzo has taken legal action against showbiz columnists and online hosts Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, along with their co-hosts on their respective shows.

According to GMA News' Nelson Canlas, the Kapuso actress filed the cyber libel cases at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office. She was accompanied by her lawyer Atty. Joey Garcia and manager Shirley Kuan.

Bea also filed a case against an unnamed person who pretended to be speaking on behalf of the actress.

The complaint stated that Bea became a victim of “false, malicious, and damaging information.”

“Nakasaad sa complaint affidavit ni Bea na naging biktima siya ng mali, malisyoso at mga mapanirang impormasyon na mula sa nagpanggap na malapit sa kanya at inilathala at pinag usapan sa online shows nina Fermin at Diaz nang walang basehan,” Nelson reported.

Bea's recent split from her fiancé Dominic Roque has been a hot topic in the media, including Cristy and Ogie's online shows.

The former couple confirmed the news in a joint statement, saying how there were people who confirmed their split "without consent" and how others created "ridiculous" stories about it.

"Unfortunately, some even confirmed our breakup without our consent, and some created ridiculous stories that had no basis and were utterly false, so we felt the need to share this announcement with great sadness, for our peace of mind and our families," they wrote.

Dominic, in another statement, also called out Cristy for "malicious innuendos" regarding his sexuality. He further stated that his lawyers are reviewing her reports and may take action against any defamatory statements.
