Filipino celebrities honor dads, partners on Father's Day
Today is Father's Day!
Dads teach us so many things, but the most important one is always love, they say. On Sunday, June 18, Pinoy celebrities took to social media to apply this lesson and share their simple yet sweet messages for their fathers and father figures.
Here are some of the ways they paid tribute to the most special men in their lives on Father's Day.
Marian Rivera
The actress-host posted an Instagram story of colorful letters made by her kids, Zia and Sixto, for Dingdong Dantes.
She also shared a photo of her loving husband where she penned a short message. "Happy Father's Day to the man who never fails to make our family feel loved and supported. You are a wonderful husband and an amazing dad. Thank you for all that you do! We love you sooooo much."
Iza Calzado
Iza posted a reel of her partner, Ben Wintle, where he can be seen singing and dancing in front of their daughter, Deia Amihan.
"Thank you for working hard to give us the future you believe we deserve. It’s an honor to witness you become a better father, husband and man every day. We love you and your singing and dancing skills!" the actress captioned her video.
Andi Eigenmann
The local star, for her part, posted snaps of her husband Philmar Alipayo, giving a glimpse of their beautiful island life in Siargao. "'There's no better guy on this earth I'd want by my side! Love living life with you mahal, @chepoxz. Mostly because of how awesome of a papa you are to our kids. Proud of you and all that you do!" she wrote, adding a heart emoji.
Donny Pangilinan
He's Into Her lead actor Donny Pangilinan showed his appreciation for his dad Anthony Pangilinan by posting a complete family picture on his Instagram stories and giving a special mention to the latter.
Solenn Heussaff
The Filipina-French actress showed her love and appreciation for her Argentinian husband Nico Bolzico through an IG reel with clips of him being a loving father to their daughters Thylane Katana and Maëlys Lionel. "I cry everytime I watch this! Thanks Bebu!" Nico replied on the post.
Vicki Belo
Celebrity doctor Vicki Belo, meanwhile, shared an Instagram reel featuring videos of her husband Hayden Kho and daughter Scarlet Snow during their magazine cover photoshoot.
Mimiyuuuh
Content creator and vlogger Mimiyuuuh on Instagram shared funny but sweet clips of her Tatay showing his outgoing personality in some of her vlogs. "HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TATAY! Mahal kitaaaaaaaaa!!!" the vlogger wrote.
Anne Curtis-Smith
Anne Curtis shared a 30-minute video on Instagram showing her husband Erwan and daughter Dahlia's bonding moment in Australia.
"Fatherhood has brought out a smile I’ve never seen, a laughter I’ve never heard, a new side of you that I love to admire as I watch all these magical moments unfold every single day. We love you papa. Happy Father’s Day," she captioned her post, where he also mentioned Erwan with a dinosaur emoji.
Jessy Mendiola
Jessy Mendiola made sure she wouldn't miss the special day for her husband, now a father, Luis Manzano. She shared a short video showing the latter caressing their newborn whom they fondly call "Peanut." The actress gave birth to their daughter Isabella Rose in February.
"I love you wowow and Peanut," Luis commented on her post along with a heart emoji.
