LOOK: KaladKaren gets married to Luke Wrightson
TV host KaladKaren and her long-time British boyfriend, Luke Wrightson, are now officially married!
On Instagram, Kaladkaren shared glimpses of their dreamy wedding, which was held at the Raven Hall Hotel in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England, on Sunday, Sept. 8.
"Luke and I dreamed for a beautiful sunny day in this fantastic cliff top wedding venue in England. It’s supposed to have the best overlooking views in North Yorkshire," she wrote in the caption.
While the venue was covered with thick fog, the Frontline Pilipinas anchor said it did not hinder how magical the event was and made her feel the "luckiest woman alive" as she married the "love of her life," while being surrounded by the loved ones.
"On our wedding day, ironically, the views were covered by a thick fog! It was almost zero visibility!!!!!! What a one in a million chance!" she narrated.
KaladKaren continued, "Unlucky? Not at all. But marrying the love of my life surrounded by our dearest friends and families … makes me feel the luckiest woman alive! And hey, who else can say they got married in the clouds?!"
In the photos, KaladKaren looks ethereal donning a Francis Libiran tube serpentine gown and a delicate veil.
Meanwhile, Luke looked dapper wearing a white-and-black suit with a bowtie.
The event also received congratulatory messages from KaladKaren nearest and dearest in the entertainment industry.
"This is so special. Congratulations!!" Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach wrote in the comment section.
"CONGRATULATIONS dear @kaladkaren. Hugs to you both! Much love!" TV Patrol anchor Karen Davila also said.
"Congratulations!!! So happy for youu Babe!" Kim Domingo chided.
Other celebrities, drag performers and content creators including Bela Padilla, Sassa Gurl, Kylie Verzosa, Rufa Mae Quinto, among others also sent their greetings to the 32-year-old trans icon.
KaladKaren met Luke in Hong Kong in 2012 while she was on holiday. They continued to talk online after meeting, and three months later, Luke came to visit the TV personality in the Philippines.
The pair first got engaged in 2020 after eight years of being together. The proposal happened on the balcony of their home after dinner.
Last July, Luke popped the question anew during their trip to London, with Big Ben as the backdrop of their photos. Kaladkaren thought it was just a prenup shoot, but Luke got down on one knee.
