Tom Cruise 'extremely interested in pursuing' Shakira - report
It seems that Shakira has caught the attention of a longtime Hollywood heartthrob.
Celebrity news outlet Page Six has learned from a source that Tom Cruise had been photographed together with the Colombian singer and songwriter when they attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami during the weekend.
The source highlighted that Cruise is "extremely interested in pursuing" Shakira and that "there is chemistry" between them.
Shakira is currently single, having broken off her relationship with her boyfriend of 11 years, Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué, in 2022 and called their separation "the darkest hour" of her life. The former couple share two sons together named Sasha and Milan.
In January, Shakira seemingly addressed their breakup by singing lyrics that drop the name of a woman who Piqué has been linked with, Clara Chia Marti, which then alludes to allegations that he was having an affair.
"Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom," the source told the entertainment outlet, calling the development a beneficial one for Shakira as the 60-year-old Mission: Impossible actor is a "nice-looking guy, and he is talented."
The source also shared that Cruise also sent some sweet-smelling flowers to the singer, having been completely enamored with her.
Following her separation from Piqué, Shakira is now starting a new life in Miami together with her sons after she left Barcelona, Spain.
"I established myself in Barcelona to give my kids stability, the same one we are now looking for in another corner of the world alongside my family, friends and the sea. Today we start a new chapter in search of their happiness," she shared on social media.
Cruise, meanwhile, was married three times. The first was with actress Mimi Rogers, which lasted for three years in 1987 to 1990, followed by Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001, and Katie Holmes from 2006 to 2012. Cruise's last relationship was with Hayley Atwell, which lasted from 2020 to 2022.
