Tom Rodriguez reveals he's seeing someone: 'I thought it would never happen again'
After Tom Rodriguez shared about recovering in the United States following his divorce from Carla Abellana, the actor revealed that he is ready to fall in love again.
In an interview with GMA Integrated News, the My Husband's Lover star was asked about his love life.
"In fact, I am seeing someone," Tom said. "Once I was ready, it came at the right time. At that point, I thought it would never happen again."
Even though the actor talked about his relationship status, he kept the identity of his partner to himself.
"Magdadamot ako ata. Like what I said, I really want to keep it to myself. But like I said, I'll live my life like how it is, so, eventually siguro everyone would. What they see is what they get. But for now, it's my own now," he added.
The 36-year-old actor took a break from showbiz when he flew to the US in 2022 after his divorce from Carla.
"Two weeks lang dapat ako nando'n. Nawili din ako. Long story short, I really had to take my time to recover," he said about his US break.
When asked whether it was okay for him to see Carla again, Tom said, "I don't think it matters to me much. We have our own paths and our own lives now and I wish her well and hers."
Meanwhile, in a February 2023 interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Carla said she has forgiven Tom and has put their relationship in the past.
The former couple married in October 2021 after being together for seven years.
