Korean singer Park Bo Ram passes away at 30

Park Bo Ram has passed away. She was 30.

Bo Ram’s agency XANADU Entertainment on April 12 confirmed that the Korean singer had passed away.

“It’s true that Park Bo Ram died on April 11,” said the agency. “The cause of death is currently being investigated by the police.”

The agency added that its artists and executives are "deeply mourning the deceased with great sadness."

"It is even more heartbreaking that we have to tell you this sudden news to all of the fans who support Park Bo Ram," the statement said.

XANADU Entertainment said that the funeral will be held after a consultation with Bo Ram's family.

Bo Ram competed in an audition show called Superstar K2 and finished in the eighth spot. Since her 2014 debut, she's been releasing chart-toppers, including Beautiful, Celepretty, and Sorry. She also sang the OST titled Hyehwadong for the popular K-drama Reply 1988.

She was supposed to prepare for her comeback to celebrate her 10th anniversary in the industry.
