BTSRM’s solo documentary Right People, Wrong Place is set to premiere at the 29th Busan International Film Festival.

The K-pop idol shared the film’s teaser on his Instagram page on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

According to the website, the documentary will show never-before-seen moments of RM from his military enlistment to creating his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person.

It will also chronicle his journey of discovering his “true self” both as an artist and an individual.

“RM candidly confesses that he sometimes feels like an outsider in conventional settings (Right Place, Wrong Person) and at other times feels out of place in unusual situations (Right Person, Wrong Place),” the description read.

“He reflects on how honest he can be as both RM and Kim Namjoon, balancing gratitude for the attention he receives with the pressure and fear that come with his status,” it continued.

The documentary was directed by Lee Seokjun, who also previously worked with his co-member, j-Hope for Arson and MORE.

It is among the official selections for the “Open Cinema” session of this year’s BIFF and will have its world premiere at the Busan Cinema Center’s outdoor BIFF theater.

The festival will run from Oct. 2 to 11. The release date and ticketing details have yet to be announced.

RM, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, debuted with BTS in 2013. He enlisted in South Korea’s mandatory military service in December 2023.

Prior to this, he made his solo debut with the album Indigo in 2022.

He released his second album Right Place, Wrong Person in May this year, which included songs LOST!, out of love, and Come back to me.

RM is featured in Megan Thee Stallion’s single, Neva Play to be released on Friday, Sept. 6.
