Kristine Hermosa on possibility of working with ex Jericho Rosales again: ‘Oo naman'
Kristine Hermosa is open to reuniting with ex-boyfriend Jericho Rosales for a project, only if the project is "worth it."
During a recent appearance on Eat Bulaga, Kristine, who was there to celebrate her father-in-law Vic Sotto's birthday bash, shared some thoughts with the press. She said she is open to working with her former onscreen partner again, but it depends on the situation.
“Oo naman. Depende talaga. Depende sa project, depende sa mga eksena, basta depende. I need to see everything muna. Talagang i-filter ko muna lahat kung worth it naman ang gagawin namin hindi ‘yung masabi lang na may nagawa together,” she said.
Asked if her husband Oyo Sotto is okay with it, Kristine said he is always supportive of her career.
“Wala namang problema [sa kanya]. Very professional naman kami. Kung gusto ko, susuportahan naman siya. The thing is, choice ko talaga,” she said. “Ayoko kasi ng gumagawa ng kung ano-ano lang. Kung baga kung gagawa ako, something that's worth it naman—worth my time and effort ko. Syemore lumalaki yung mga anak ko. Basta ‘yung magandang project, ‘yung may katuturan.”
In a conversation with Cosmopolitan Philippines last month, Jericho acknowledged the lasting success of Pangako Sa'Yo, the hit series he shared with Kristine.
He reflected: "I think a lot of people still love it. There was really magic in the story. I think it marks a special time in the industry, in our culture, in Philippine television."
He also revealed that he'd love to collaborate with Kristine again as he believes their past projects felt like "unfinished business."
"I've always said it: I want to work with Kristine because I feel like [it's] some sort of unfinished business when it comes to our run," he said. "It was the 25th anniversary [of Pangako Sa'yo] just recently and I told my manager—because Kristine and I had the same manager before—I was like, 'Hey, how is she? Do you think she's going to be open to working with me?'"
Kristine and Jericho captivated audiences in hit projects like the teleserye Pangako Sa'Yo and films like Forevermore, Ngayong Nandito Ka, and Trip. Their real-life romance reportedly blossomed from 2000 to 2004.
Kristine is now married to Oyo and they have four children together, with a sixth on the way as announced in February.
Jericho, meanwhile, has been separated from his wife Kim Jones since 2019.
