Slater Young and Kryz Uy’s 7-week-old baby diagnosed with hernia, to undergo operation
Slater Young and Kryz Uy’s baby got diagnosed with inguinal hernia and is set to undergo operation.
In a vlog posted on Sunday, July 17, the lifestyle vlogger talked about her son Sevi’s diagnosis, which has already been given a second opinion by a medical expert. “Whenever he cries, it kind of triggers the hernia to bulge out and I know he’s not supposed to experience any pain when that happens but it still hurts my heart to see it so I can’t take it,” said Uy.
According to Healthline, inguinal hernia “occurs in the abdomen near your groin area. It develops when fatty or intestinal tissues push through a weakness in the abdominal wall near the right or left inguinal canal. Each inguinal canal resides at the base of the abdomen.”
In the description box of her video, Kryz shared that her baby boy needs to have the procedure as soon as possible. “It’s not a super rare operation (Thank God), but because he is just 7 weeks old. I can’t bear putting him under this much physical and emotional stress. And shempre as a mom, you can imagine how wrecked I feel,” she added.
While Sevi’s condition caught the couple “by surprise” as they thought he was a healthy boy, Kryz remains “incredibly thankful” after all. “At the end of the day, you know, I still have one of life’s greatest luxuries, which is to be able to spend time with my kids.”
Kryz and Slater tied the knot in Feb. 2019. They welcomed their first child Scottie in June 2020 and their second Sevi in May.
