Chrissy Teigen announces rainbow baby pregnancy: 'I’m feeling hopeful and amazing'
Supermodel and author Chrissy Teigen is pregnant!
Teigen shared the news in an Instagram post showcasing her baby bump, saying that the experience has filled their home with happiness.
"The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again," she wrote, pertaining to her miscarriage with husband John Legend two years prior.
In 2020, the couple lost their third child, Jack, after complications with the pregnancy. Chrissy was hospitalized with excessive bleeding at 20 weeks pregnant and diagnosed with a partial placental abruption shortly after.
In February of 2022, Chrissy shared that she was undergoing in vitro fertilization "to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos."
In the recent Instagram post, Chrissy chronicled her time processing the new bundle of joy: "Every appointment I’ve said to myself, 'ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce' but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still."
"I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing," she concluded.
Chrissy and John have been married since 2013 and share two children, Luna and Miles.
