Diego Loyzaga says Sofia Andres is his TOTGA: 'I made a really big mistake'
Diego Loyzaga has revealed that he considers Sofia Andres as his TOTGA (the one that got Away) admitting that he “made a really big mistake” at the time of their romance.
Diego made the revelation in his interview with actress-politician Aiko Melendez’s vlog on Feb. 29.
In the “Truth or Dare” segment, he was asked who among the actresses he was linked with in the past he considers as his TOTGA.
“Barbie Imperial, Franki Russell, Sofia Andres, Julia Montes, sino sa kanila ang matuturing mong the one that got away?” Aiko asked, to which he straight up answered, “Sofia Andres.”
Without spilling further details on their split, Diego admitted that he “made a really big mistake” with Sofia.
“Kasi ang laki talaga ng pagkakamali ko do’n kay Sofia. I wish it didn’t happen,” he explained.“I’m very open naman about it, that I made a really big mistake. I was a kid, I was 20 or 21 years old,” he added.
Despite this, the Will You Be My Ex? star stressed that he is “proud” and “happy” for where Sofia is right now.
“I’m so proud. I’m so happy for her. I remember when we were together pa, the things that she has now, ‘yun ‘yung mga binabanggit niya nung time na ‘yon na sana magkaroon siya, and she has everything now,” he said.
Diego furthered that they have never seen each other again following the split, but he recalled the last time they met was to get closure "a long time ago."
Diego and Sofia were former onscreen partners in the 2017 TV series Pusong Ligaw and in the 2018 film Mama’s Girl. The two did not directly confirm their real score back then until their split.
Sofia is currently in a long-term relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend Daniel Miranda. They welcomed their first child together, Zoe in 2019.
Meanwhile, Diego said he is in a "no label" relationship with his baby mama, Alexis Suapengco. They share their daughter named Hailey, whom he first revealed to the public in January 2023.
