It's confirmed: Liza Soberano set to star in her first Hollywood film with Cole Sprouse, Kathryn Newton, and more

The rumors are true, Liza Soberano is heading to Hollywood!

The actress took to Instagram to share a screenshot of a Deadline article announcing the lineup of actors joining the cast of the upcoming US Lisa Frankenstein. 

"Ecstatic to be part of this film," Liza wrote with the zombie emoji.

Congratulations for Liza soon flooded her comments section, with fellow stars expressing their love for the 24-year-old.

Director Antoinette Jadaone, who had worked with Liza in the 2019 film Alone/Together said: "Wow!!!! Congrats Hopie!!!

"Congratulations Hope!!! We’re proud of you," wrote fellow director Mae Cruz Alviar.

"YAS," model Kelsey Merritt wrote.

Meanwhile, one of Lisa Frankenstein's main actors, Kathyrn Newton, is also enthused about Liza's new role.

Meanwhile, the Deadline article also shared that fellow US actors Carla Gugino (The Haunting of Hill House), Joe Chrest (Stranger Things), and Henry Eikenberry (Euphoria) have also been added to the movie's cast.

Rumors swirled about Liza's participation in the film when she was tagged in a post with a clapper for the film back in Aug. 8. The actress has since expressed her interest in starring in making a name for herself in Hollywood, recently attending Bretman Rock's birthday party and meeting with Korean idols.

Lisa Frankenstein is set to be the directorial debut of actor-filmmaker, Zelda Williams, who is the daughter of the late comedian, Robin Williams. The film will be led by Riverdale actor Cole Sprouse and Big Little Lies' Newton.

Liza has since become Instagram mutuals with both Sprouse and Newton.
