BTS’ Jungkook deleted his Instagram page—here's why
Jungkook of iconic K-pop group BTS is no longer on Instagram, but fret not, ARMYs—it did not get hacked.
On Feb. 28, the BTS member left his fans surprised when he deleted his Instagram account that had over 50 million followers.
Shortly after, he explained his decision to deactivate his IG page on Weverse, a popular social media platform in South Korea.
“I deleted my Instagram account. It wasn’t hacked. I just deleted because I wasn’t using it much… So don’t worry!” he said.
“I immediately deleted the [Instagram] app too, and I don’t think I’ll be using it from now on! I just wanted to let you know in advance!” he added.
You can still stay updated on the latest news about the K-pop star through Weverse Live.
Jungkook joined Instagram in December 2021, along with six other BTS members. The rest of the group—Suga, V, Jin, J-hope, RM, and Jimin—are still active on the app.
