LOOK: Machine Gun Kelly shows off blackout tattoo that required 44 needles
Machine Gun Kelly just got a new tattoo—and it needed 44 needles to cover up his chest, shoulders, and arms.
The rapper-singer, whose real name is Colson Baker, took to Instagram to show off his massive ink.
“[F]or spiritual purposes only,” he captioned his post, which has garnered over 450,000 likes as of writing.
The Bad Things singer also shared a short video of the tattoo gun that contained 44 needles.
MGK's tattoo artist ROXX, who specializes in blackworks and geometric motifs, shared another snap of the rapper in his new tatt.
"Made some art with [Machine Gun Kelly] Never met a tougher one," she wrote in the caption, to which MGK replied, "Thanks for the joy and the pain.”
Apart from his music, MGK has also been known for his heavily tattooed body. One of his memorable inks was a matching tattoo with Travis Barker that read “Born with Horns.” They got it in August 2021 when they worked on an album together.
The following year, the rapper opened up about their tattoo session.
"We were so hyped," MGK said during his guest appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show. "We had just done a song and we were like, 'There's a tattoo artist here. Let's just get the [album] name tattooed on us.'"
He renamed the album Mainstream Sellout six months after getting the tattoo, but didn’t know how to tell Barker at the time.
"I couldn't bring myself to tell Travis because I knew he had the tattoo,” he recalled. He eventually told him about it and recorded the moment on camera, where they can be seen sharing some laughs together.
