Super Junior's Lee Sungmin shares photos of first child with actress Kim Sa-eun
Lee Sungmin of K-pop boy band Super Junior is now a dad!
On Instagram, the K-pop idol shared adorable photos of his first newborn, who they called "PoPo," with Korean actress Kim Sa-eun.
The photos feature him lovingly hugging the baby, who was born on September 13. They welcomed their first child after 10 years of marriage.
Sungmin, through his agency, SM Entertainment, said that he is filled with "joy and happiness" because of his newborn while feeling the "weight of responsibility as a father."
"I want to thank all those who congratulated me and my family," he said.
In December 2014, the couple tied the knot through an intimate ceremony at The Raum in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
They met each other in 2013 in the musical The Three Musketeers as the male and female leads.
Earlier in July, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.
Sungmin, also known as LIU, debuted as a member of Super Junior in 2005 and its subgroups, Super Junior-T, Super Junior-H, and Super Junior-M. The boy group is known for their hit songs Mr. Simple, Super, Sorry Sorry, and Show Time, among others.
According to The Korea Times, Sungmin is currently active as a trot singer, a type of Korean popular music "known for its use of repetitive rhythm and vocal inflections."
Meanwhile, Kim Sa-eun is a South Korean singer, model, and actress. She debuted under Big Hit Entertainment as a member of the South Korean girl group Banana Girl.
As an actress, she starred in various films, including The Youth (2014), The Russian Novel (2012), and Boarding House Number 24 (2014). She is also popular as a beauty YouTuber, Shantokki.
