Pia Wurtzbach calls on fans to stop pitting women against each other: 'Do not pull other people down'
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach had something to say to fans defending her while pulling others down.
In the comment section of the Instagram reel she posted for Paris Fashion Week, the beauty queen reminded her followers who posted "nasty comments and below-the-belt names" to stop.
"I think we all need to be reminded that this bickering, pitting women against each other, and pointing fingers isn't right. Please stop fighting," Pia wrote.
The Queen of the Universe author also recalled her experiences during her Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Universe stints when she had to tell her supporters to not "pull other people down" just to defend her.
"I want to ask everyone, my supporters especially, as I always did even years ago during my Binibini or Miss Universe days, please do not pull other people down, lest to defend me. That is not what I want. And that's not what I stand for."
Pia continued, "Let's respect each other and the work being put in by everyone — and not ruin it just because people online can't get along. There is so much room in this world for everyone to shine."
Pia is currently in Paris to attend the highly-anticipated fashion week.
"Turn up the lights in the City of Light…we made it to Paris! ✨ Here to keep up with the momentum and appreciate the stunning clothes & creative minds behind each brand," she wrote in the video featuring some of her preparations, outfits, and even a fan who is asking to sign her book, Queen of the Universe.
The former Miss Universe also shared how she changed her next outfit in the van, "I'm off to change into my next outfit in the van no less LOL. That's #ParisFashionWeek, baby. We make do and Make. It. Happen. Bisous!"
As the video went by, Pia candidly shared how exciting her experience was when she witnessed this year's renowned fashion brand shows like Dior, Offwhite, and Balmain.
More than the beauty queen-turned-author, Filipino celebrities such as Heart Evangelista, Bryan Yambao, also known as Bryanboy, and Mond Gutierrez also turned heads as they were among the attendees featured at Paris Fashion Week’s video highlights.
Meanwhile, Pia proved that she is one of the country's fashion mavens when she served looks at the beginning of this year's Milan Women's Fashion Week.
Pia wore brands such as Fendi and Onitsuka Tiger, as well as an elegant brown virgin wool minidress from Max Mara One of her outfits also comes from Max Mara.
