Tony Award-winning singer and actress Lea Salonga is getting her own Madame Tussauds wax figure.

The announcement was made through the Madame Tussauds Singapore social media pages on June 5.

"Shining, Shimmering, Splendid! The legendary Lea Salonga will have her very own wax figure in #MadameTussaudsSH! Are you as excited as we are?" the caption read.

A behind-the-scenes look at the process of making the figure was shared on Facebook.

"When my manager said this is happening—Madame Tussauds is interested in turning me into a wax figure, oh my God! What an absolute honor and privilege to be asked. It's fantastic!" Lea said.

"I am super delighted to be joining Madame Tussauds with my wax figure. Are you ready?" she added.

In addition to starring in local productions and projects, Lea has performed in musicals on Broadway in New York and in the West End in London. She's known for starring in Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Once on This Island, and more recently Here Lies Love

The 53-year-old actress also lent her voice singing for Disney princesses Jasmine and Mulan.

Other Filipinos that have Madame Tussauds wax figures include boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and Miss Universe titleholders Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray. Anne Curtis is also set to have her figure in Hong Kong.
