Nation’s girl group BINI has addressed issues surrounding their hit song, Salamin, Salamin being linked to witchcraft.

During a press conference where they were unveiled as the newest endorsers of an online shopping platform, BINI refuted allegations that their hit song is related to the occult.

In case you missed it, a religious group named Fellow Jesus Ministry shared a “reminder” to its followers to refrain from supporting worldly music, specifically the girl group's Salamin, Salamin as it will allegedly "divert" people away from God.

Maari ding ilayo nito ang ating mga puso mula sa Panginoon,” they wrote in the caption.

They added: “Itong Salamin Salamin 'yung sinayaw sa church pero no problem.. KJ, Religious, OA, legalist pa yung nangrebuke at nagadvise. 'Di po 'yan KJ pagmamahal po 'yan. [Salamin, Salamin] is a Witchcraft song.. Please wake up church!”

In the same post, Follow Jesus Ministry shared a side-by-side photo of Viivi James’ book dubbed Mirror Magic (Scrying, Spells, Curses and Other Witch Crafts) and a screenshot of the lyrics of BINI’s Salamin, Salamin.

The religious group also included in their caption some Biblical warnings from Deuteronomy and Timothy about witchcraft, deception, and false teachings.

The post has earned nearly 6,000 “haha” reactions and 2,300 shares on Facebook as of writing.

BINI reacts

Since the religious group's claims, BINI has shut down the allegations.

For her part, Colet said that she finds the theory “funny.”

BINI is an eight-member group consisting of Aiah, Sheena, Mikha, Maloi, Colet, Gwen, Stacey, and Jhoanna. They're known for tracks including Pantropiko, Lagi, and Karera.

Salamin, Salamin currently has 42 million streams on Spotify, while its music video has over 13 million views on YouTube as of writing.

They are set to hold their three-day first-ever solo concert dubbed BINIverse in June.
